I’ve been looking forward to Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge this week because the theme is Black and White! I’ve been having lots of fun switching my photographs from color to black and white! I’m getting a better feel for which ones will look better or at least just as good black and white.
If you’d like to use one of your own photos for a DIY Photo Wall Art project, Sugar Bee Crafts has a great post to walk you through each step. For less than $15 I was able to make a 3′ x 4′ piece of art with a photograph I took in California! It’s hanging in my office, so I can look out the window at the woods and look on the wall at the woods!
I found the idea on Pinterest and followed the link! It’s a great idea for photos of people also. Next, I’d like to make some for friends!
Walking in the woods is magical! Even when you go to the same place over and over again…there are always new ways to look at the same scenes and these scenes change through the weeks and months. There’s nothing like breathing in the sweet-clean-woodsy air and feeling the sun’s rays upon your face. The sky seems bluer in the woods.
I love the way the towering trees cast shadows and surround you with their being…
The paths seem so inviting. Without leaves, the trees don’t seem lonely.
A light dusting of snow still clings to this path…
Icicles glint in the light and seem to sprout from the rocks…like roots from a tree.
The trees admire their reflections in the icy water…
May all your trails be crooked, winding, dangerous, leading to the most amazing views, where something strange and more beautiful and more full of wonder than your deepest dreams waits for you.” ~ Edward Abbey
To be no longer content to pick up what is floating on the surface of life, and to want only the pearls at the bottom of the sea, this is grace, welling up from deep inside.” ~Eknath Easwaran
If you want to be comfortable, don’t try to live your dreams.” ~ Emily Trinkaus

My weekend was great…cooked a lot of new recipes…ran errands…read some from my current book “The Hunger Games“…went for a four mile hike in the woods with beautiful sunny skies…organized my food pantry…normal household chores…and went to a Superbowl party at my brother’s!
I’m on a black and white roll!
