Boudoir photography is so much fun! The creative possibilities are endless. The first step is ensuring your model is comfortable with you and that you provide a warm environment, which can be difficult during this seemingly endless bitter cold February in Cincinnati! I recently did a photo shoot with my Model, Christy, and we clicked (no pun intended), which put her at ease. For this first photo, I had the idea of wrapping her in cellophane. We weren’t sure at first how the photos would turn out, because I wrapped her a little too tight, but I think it’s cute!
This is Christy’s favorite photo. Doesn’t she have beautiful hair?
I’ve had a difficult time finding a willing subject for this type of shoot. Most women feel that they need to lose a few pounds and feel they have to be perfect, and often think they’re too old. Christy is in her mid-30’s and looks great!
We were both on the same page as far as the over all “look” we were trying to achieve…sexy, fun, and tasteful!
I think a few thoughtfully placed tattoos look sexy on women…
It never ceases to amaze me the different looks you can achieve with accessories, hair up vs. down, etc.
My husband didn’t seem to mind that we used his Harley (in the basement) for a few pics!
Can you say sensual…

This used beaded prop I purchased recently creates the illusion of water…
In full color and with her hair down, this photo looks entirely different from the other “hat” pic…
I also love the editing process afterwards! Can’t wait for the next one!

Thank you! Yes…there are lots of male photographers that do Boudoir shoots. You could join some meetup.com photography groups and there are some on Facebook.

The photos are cleverly suggestive and erotic, without being crass and sleazy, as some might expect upon hearing the term “boudoir”. That’s, of course, given that people even know what boudoir means. But pictures like these are more visually pleasing than flat-out nudity. Keep up the good work, Sherry!

I agree: very tastefully and aesthetically done, these pictures, and especially, as you say, “cleverly suggestive and erotic.” Sometimes, but very rarely only, I’ve seen pictures of women completely in the nude can could match these here. Normally, you’re right, its the partial covering that makes them so erotic. I sure hope we’ll see more of Sherrys’ excellent work here.
