“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”  ~Marianne Williamson

  2. A beautiful shoot Sherry. Besides being s superb landscape/cityscape photographer you are clearly a master at putting people at ease in front of the camera (which is not an easy thing to do) and capturing them in a way that you get a sense of who they are, not simply their physical features. Wonderful photos. ~Rick

    • Thank you so much Rick. You’re such a sweetie! Maybe it’s also because they sense how much I like what I’m doing…I’ll keep saying “OK…one more photo”, or “Perfect”. A girlfriend accompanied her, and I was asking Vivian if she had a boyfriend, or to talk with her friend during the shoot. Lots of other tricks.

  3. Sherry ,Another quote is “If the subject matter is beautiful ,anybody can be a great photographer” – that’s a compliment to the young lady and yourself for capturing her in the way you have.
