Festivities for Cinco de Mayo were well under way when I arrived at Buck’s Bad Ass Bash yesterday in Over the Rhine, Cincinnati, Ohio! I was on assignment for iSPYCINCY again and the weather was perfect. This annual event is held in a parking lot near Vine and 12th Street. In case you didn’t know, Cinco de Mayo is a historic holiday celebrating Mexico’s defeat of French forces at the Battle of Puebla.
These two fun-loving girls readily agreed to be photographed…
Cinco de Mayo has become synonymous not only with tacos, sombreros, and Pinatas, but also with Margaritas, tequila and beer!
When my husband and I arrived at 5pm, as you can see, the party was in full swing! I love the old buildings surrounding the area in Over the Rhine…
The balloon arch over the entry way was quite impressive…
The Dallas Moore Band began playing shortly after we arrived…
Face painting was one of the offered activities…
I liked this guy’s style! You can see the Dallas Moore Band behind him…
Even with their manly mustaches, these girls were cute!
I used my wide-angle lens to capture the group. You can see my husband, the one that looks like a marine on the right, standing guard, holding my camera bag (that looks like a purse..smile)…
I’m preparing for another fun Cinco de Mayo event tomorrow! Yipee!

The second most fun Holiday to celebrate (St. Patrick’s Day wins for me). I have had many the good party on Cinco de Mayo. Lucky you getting to do it twice.
