There is so much to see and do in Philadelphia! I started walking towards the Philadelphia Museum of Art and Boathouse Row. This domino sculpture is pretty cool! I like it sometimes when there is someone in my photo, because they become an actor…like in this photo…it’s almost seems this lady was posing for me!
I liked the shapes of this building…
Here is a portion of the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul…
There was a Mass, but I discreetly snapped a photo.
Pretty fountain and the day was gorgeous!
This monument is in honor of black Americans.
Philadelphia is a wonderful City for bicycling. These green paths are designated biking lanes…
The Rodin Museum is lovely and is one of the sites of “The Thinker” sculpture.
Up ahead is the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
It’s also the site of the iconic “Rocky steps“. You can see this little girl doing the “Rocky” celebration, after having ran up the steps!
This is the back view of the Museum…
I’ve seen photos of Boathouse Row at night when it’s all lit up. I wasn’t able to go at night, but it was still lovely!
There’s much more of Philly to explore…see you tomorrow!

Designated biking lanes? What a concept! Charlottesville should take this to mind and road! Did you find those two eateries in NYC? Diane

All Cities should have them! I haven’t found the eateries yet. It’s been a whirlwind! In fact today, I’m not sight-seeing because I need to rest and am going to a rooftop party tonight.

Just have to correct — it’s the Philadelphia Museum of Art … not the Museum of Modern Art … sorry! But it’s such an historic building and has such incredible collections of EVERYTHING (you have to see the modern sculptures by Brancusi & Giacometti) — including amazing furniture and silver from Revolutionary times … anyhow! Boathouse Row is just the beginning of East & West River Drive which runs down to Fairmount Park, which is also gorgeous. THANKS for sharing your beautiful photos!!

I was expecting a photo of the famous Liberty Bell – and I didn’t know that the Rocky movie was filmed in Philadelphia. That fountain is the Swann Memorial Fountain -thanks for bringing great memories back. Great gallery as always, wouldn’t expect anything else from you. Have a great stay.
