Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Textures

Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge this week is Textures!  This photo was taken of me by a passerby as the sun was rising in San Francisco.  I was on a solo trip through California in 2006, waiting for an Amtrak train, and had some time to spare, so I wanted to have my picture taken with these funky massive statues!  If my memory serves me correctly, their texture was cool, hard, and ridged.

While in Chicago (2010) I got down low to take a photo of this metallic moose statue.  It was very similar in texture to the above statues.

Everyone knows what stuffed animals feel like!  Soft and fuzzy.  Kings Island Amusement Park in Cincinnati is where their home was.

This lego looking whale statue in Vancouver was smooth and jagged…

These bales of hay feel like they look…course, prickly and dry…

This unusual rock, hay and mud man statue in South Africa has a variety of textures—smooth, rough, moist, dry, and hard…

We’re lucky to have such a variety of textures in our lives!
