Saturday I went on a three-mile hike with my hiking club through Meetup.com in Dayton, Kentucky, which is located along the Ohio River, across from Cincinnati. It has finally started to warm up some and the sun was shining! We split into a faster group and a slower group. I’m always in the fast group, but wanted time to take photos…so I joined the slower group. In this photo you can see the faster group up ahead…
This is the pipe structure you saw in the first photo, but up close. And of course I fooled around with it in iPhoto to create this effect…
Mt. Adams is across the Ohio River in Cincinnati…
You can see Downtown Cincinnati behind the husband sarcastically waving!
Here’s a barge going down the River…
I wanted to have some photo fun. This ledge appears to have a steep drop…but from where I’m standing it’s not too far down…
Walking into downtown Dayton, Kentucky you see this beautiful Church…
Very cute town square…
Colorful buildings…
and a sweet spot to rest…
I wanted to take a photo of my girlfriends and spotted this opening between buildings, with a little shade, so we ducked in….
Tomorrow I’m starting a four-part series about my fun fun day on Monday attending the parade and festivities for the Reds baseball Opening Day! Woo hoo…can’t wait!

I LOVE meetup! I was in a meetup hiking club too. I met so many great people through that website and all the clubs I joined – from young professional groups to ladies only….even a chihuahua club. Happy Hiking!

I think this group looks so lively! I liked that you had your girlfriends all in the space between the buildings (like a wedge). I also liked the blue emphasis on the pipes. Also, you on the ledge! I enjoyed this post immensely! All the details….
