Colorful Creative Covington, Kentucky

If you’ll remember from my post yesterday, I was walking around Covington, Kentucky, in the freezing cold, taking photographs and talking to shop owners.  These next two photos are from a candy store!  That wasn’t difficult to guess.  It’s hard to believe that Pez candies are now collectibles.  There’s something to be said for those people that collect and/or keep things for many years.  I’ve moved over 40 times in my life…so I’ve become an expert discarder of things!

This photo tickles me!  I think it’s quite creative to make a different type of candy…a lollipop…from other types of candy!

I don’t remember where these steps were in Covington…but I really like them!

I stopped in a store that sells supplies to teachers…and found these happy faces…

The Cock and Bull Public House is a restaurant/bar that has three locations within the Tri-State area.  By Tri-State I mean…Ohio–Indiana–Kentucky.  Beautiful colors and they’re getting ready to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day!

Chez Nora is a Jazz Club and Restaurant.  They have outdoor seating and roof-top seating!  A few years ago I had a girls’ night with a limousine and this was the first stop.  I wanted live music for all three stops…so first we had jazz…then we went to a place that had Mojo…and lastly to a rock club.  It was tons of fun!  Again…the colors are spectacular!

There’s a really good restaurant across the street from Chez Nora called Dee Felice.  I haven’t eaten there in so many years…so I need to go soon!  This is one of those reflection shots I love…the tables are in the restaurant and Chez Nora is reflected.

  4. Colorful, playful and happy gallery – some colors in your world, love it. I love the shot of the steps .. but my pick must be the restaurant with the reflection of the other side of the street building – fantastic.

    • I googled where that is…about 2 1/2 hours from where I live. But probably closer, the way I drive. 🙂 I’ll bet there are some really cool things in Olive Hill…sounds like a great town!
