Looking at this photo…you would assume it was taken outside. Actually, it’s a painting in a friend’s house. I went out with girlfriends last night and we ended the evening at one of their homes. Always looking for practice with my camera, I took a few photographs. I like the way the water droplets have a 3d effect.
While sitting on their sofa, I noticed this piece in their bookcase…
This is the view from the kitchen into the family room. If you look at the top shelf of the bookcase, you’ll see the face I took a photo of and off to the left, the painting.
I was experimenting with the look of using the flash (below) and not using it (above)…
My friend has two cats…the one below is missing an eye…
Her husband made an omelet that was heavenly!
The spoon rest caught my eye. I told them I thought it looked like someone’s behind. This photo is without the flash…
And…with the flash. When I showed the photos to my friends…they were surprised that an ordinary stainless steel kitchen utensil could look like a piece of art…
This bowl (approximately a foot in diameter) was sitting on their coffee table and after taking the photo without the flash…I really liked the effect!
Upon leaving, I had to take one last shot of her husband’s shadow!
I’m finding that everywhere I look, there is Art!

Wow, that painting is beautiful, and the spoon rest is something my bf would want. haha Great shots! I feel so bad for the kitty, though, hopefully it was by accident and not a rescue. 😦

I don’t know what happened to the kitty.

That painting is truly stunning! It would have taken me quite some time to figure out that it is, in fact, not a photogrpah.
