Travel Theme: Bridges

Where’s My Backpack has a Weekly Travel Theme and this week it’s Bridges!  I love bridges!  They connect you to new experiences, people, places and fun!

This bridge at Camp Kern near Cincinnati, Ohio was fun to walk on and took us to the beginning spot for zip lining through the beautiful Autumn trees!  It was extra special for me because it was just my son and I…that’s him walking up the bridge.

This bridge is located in Vancouver.  My husband and I had taken an aqua-bus from our condo near the opposite shore to False Creek…where I took this photo.

The Purple People Bridge in Cincinnati, Ohio is a pedestrian only bridge and connects Cincinnati to Newport, Kentucky.

The Franjo Tudman Bridge in Dubrovnik, Croatia is quite stunning.  I took this photo from a cruise ship.

Standing at the what is called the Boiling Pot in Zambia, where the amazing Victoria Falls are located, this view of the bridge is beautiful!

  3. I find bridges fascinating. All the ones you shown here are beautiful but I am particularly attracted to the design and steely look of the Boiling Pot bridge. The photo of the Ravenel bridge is stunning!
Thank you for the link to my post 🙂

  4. I love bridges too …. I would say that this is one of your best galleries. On the Vancouver photo you manage to get my hotel in the picture too. Stunning, every one of them … my favorite has to be Arthur Ravenel, Jr. Bridge. You should put your photos out there … for sale.

  5. Oh, myyy! I love bridges. The first image caught my eye right away. I love autumn, and that just got me feeling the autumn weather (on the inside). Haha. The third one looks really cool. #6 is sort of Romeo and Juliet, no? Beautiful photos. 🙂

  6. Knew you’d be crossing a few bridges, Sherry. That’s the second time today I’ve seen that one at Dubrovnik, yet I’d never seen it before. Love your rainbow over the Boiling Pot. Great job.

  7. Great set of bridges! And you even have one that’s in my neck of the woods– the Arthur Ravenel (nice photo) also known as the Cooper River Bridge…it replaced some pretty scary old bridges!

  8. I do love bridges.. and your photos are exceptional… I spent 4 months in Vic Falls on a land survey job and got the opportunity to visit an awful lot of places tourists are not allow to go to… but your boiling pot photo is one place I never got to and now I see this photo I’m sorry I didn’t… this is a magnificent photo of the bridge…
