Images from Yesterday
I’ll start with the end of the day. As I was preparing dinner, I realized the sun was setting and I wanted to capture a photo without a lot of trees hiding it. My husband probably thought I was crazy (actually he already does) because I stopped everything and said, “I’ll be right back…I’m going to take a few photos of the sunset down the street.” I hopped in my car, drove a few minutes away, stopped the car on the road with my flashers on, got out and crossed the road to take a few. Whew! Here’s one…
Backing up. It started snowing unexpectedly mid-morning. Actually, I didn’t know if it was expected or not because I rarely watch T.V. or listen to the radio. Anyway, I love the way the snow clings to the branches of the trees and bushes around my house…
The Shed and Wood Pile…
Jake…the spoiled hunting dog…with wet whiskers.
A reflection in my dresser mirror. Oops…you can see the fake flowers on the deck!
The End!
p.s. I won the Photo contest yesterday with my photo of the Peru mountains while hiking to Machu Picchu!

It’s beautiful to see you connecting to the beauty around you… connecting to the spirit of the environment around you. Taking time out of your busy day to capture the rich essence of the sunset. You are truly in your alignment… to the god within you and all that brings beauty into your life.
Blessings…

These are great photos, Sherry. You have a good eye for composition. Imagine if you hadn’t put that branch into the sunset photo. It would have been just another sunset, but with the branch it became a work of art.

Thanks Anneli! I thought the same thing about the branch!

I have a post about “green” from 2 days ago. It was one of those photos. Actually I’ve only entered one other contest and they haven’t picked a winner yet for that one. You’re probably thinking about my photo of the desert in Namibia…that someone asked to use in their publication. Thanks Betty!
