Water-skiing and Homemade Deodorant

Yesterday was another fun-filled day!  Randy took the day off work and we went boating on the Ohio River again!  We invited our friends Lynne and Mark and my girlfriend Gina.  We thought it was funny that Lynne and I bought the same bathing suit.  Obviously, my back is feeling better because I lifted Lynne for a photo…

and we water-skiied…

Anyway, wanted to let you know how my homemade deodorant turned out.  I love it!  It works…it’s simple to make…and you aren’t putting any unnecessary chemicals into your body.  I used an empty plastic jar to put it in.

I found the recipe at How About Orange.

Here’s a simple organizational tip.  Put your extra reading glasses/sun glasses on a hanger…

Since I’ve been on the Paleo plan I lost almost 10 lbs. in two weeks and feel great!  I gained back 2 lbs. just from yesterday.  We ate at Skippers Marina on the river.  I had a Mahi Mahi sandwich and a few potato chips…then last night we had pizza.  Talk about cheating!!

Well…I’m off to help a girlfriend unpack boxes.  She just moved yesterday.  It’s supposed to rain here for three days…so we’ll probably go to a movie and out to eat.  Make it a great weekend!

  1. You are going to have to tell me how get your back to stay so strong. I would like to take up the whole picking people up thing but fear it would render me bed ridden.

  2. Do you need to lift everybody … ????? Glad the diet works and that you feel good about it. We have to sin at times. You have an very active period too now .. so you will work it off. Will look into that homemade deodorant and what a brilliant idea with the hanger for sunglasses. How many do you really need. *smile

      • You’re superwoman … I’m sure, very fit and strong – both to body and mind. I’m sure that I’m not much better if I took my glasses from container in the drawm up with glasses and but I don’t see them as such because I all them still in their cases. Wonder way we keep them ???????

I'd love to hear what you have to say
