Spreading Joy: Day 23 – 12-10-10:
Today I baked chocolate chip cookies – filled three holiday containers full of them for the neighbors on my street, and delivered them. I plan on filling four more containers to give to family and friends that I’ll be seeing tomorrow and Sunday.
My nail technician was pleased with the Christmas gift I gave her today. Later in our conversation, she pointed out that the word “joy” was engraved on the candle holder, therefore, I spread joy. It’s funny how sometimes we miss the most obvious things.
I’ve been struggling lately with which direction I’d like my life to go…mainly career wise. I believe that finding work that you find fulfilling, interesting and challenging is one of the basic foundations to happiness. When my son was younger, my role as a mother was the most important thing to me; therefore, I had jobs that didn’t require overtime or traveling. Now that he is grown (although still living at home), I have the freedom to choose anything. I have so many interests (travel, health & wellness, photography, home organization, nature–to name a few), it’s been difficult choosing one thing. I realize I could start small businesses related to most of my interests. Anyway…the following link is very cool…it gives you an idea of what its like to be a radio tower worker.
